WE ARE READY FOR A REGENERATIVE RENAISSANCE

As the year comes to an end, we start to take stock of all we have experienced in the past 12 months and WOW, have we experienced life-altering events this 2020. Never before has humanity faced such an unsettling time, all at once, all around the world.

Many of us are going through exponential changes after losing health, jobs, certain freedoms, human touch, and many (too many) lives.

The losses are insurmountable. And yet, this year has rendered us all ready for a global redesign, for a REGENERATIVE RENAISSANCE—as I like to call it. This may sound daunting but the truth is that just as scary as it all has been, we have also witnessed the amazing power of the human spirit that exists within each and everyone of us. The universe has a propensity to keep things in balance so, as much anguish, suffering, and pain there is in the world, there is also beauty, joy, and benevolence. To these latter ones is where we ought to turn our attention now, to multiply them and amplify them with all our might.

The thing is, us humans are wired to look for any possible danger in order to protect ourselves from any threats. This is a defense mechanism that patriarchal systems keep exploiting through sensational media and terrorism. It is designed to keep us in an acute state of anxiety and fear, and weakens us so much that we become easily controllable and readily manipulated.

A new era begins now; The time has come for a shift in collective consciousness, and that starts within each and every single one of us.

My research is inspired by the resilience and beauty found in the natural world, as well as the transformative power of storytelling that us humans have been using from the beginning of time. It is the single most effective tool that we have to communicate, to inspire and to illuminate each other.

I have dedicated my life to telling stories and, having grown up in the second most biodiverse country in the world, I’ve relished in awe of the non-human intelligence that surround us, since a very early age. I am also fascinated by the way culture can shape us, and the inevitable effects that socialization have on us, often times tampering with our true, authentic nature.

I am putting together some material that I want to share before the end of the year, as my way of giving what I keep learning in this journey as a Storyteller, Sociologist and Environmental Designer. An intersection of these praxises for their application in the work of regeneration, of ourselves and our environment.

I would love to share them with you. Which one of these three branches interests you more? Which one of these topics would you like to hear more about? I look forward to connecting with you.
